16. Final Word
This tutorial has become much longer than I originally thought. If you look at the content on the right it's overwhelming how much you can retouch on an image.
Of course it's not the intention to do them all in every image. But you should be able to correct some faults. Always keep in mind not to overdo it too much. I've seen images where models look like plastic dolls or even aliens.
Finally let me highlight some things I think are important :
- use layer masks to apply changes only to certain parts of an image
- always use soft and relatively large brushes
- use the opacity slider to dampen the effect
- play with the blending modes
